Pollard named Virginia's new baseball coach

Chris Pollard, who spent the last 13 seasons at Duke, has been hired as the new head baseball coach at ACC rival Virginia.
Brian O'Connor, the head coach of the Virginia baseball team, has announced that his associate head coach, Kevin McMullan, will retire at the end of the 2024 season after 14 years with the program. McMullan, who has been a part of Virginia's coaching staff since 2010, has helped lead the team to five College World Series appearances, including a national championship in 2015. O'Connor praised McMullan's dedication and contributions to the program, stating that his impact on the team and the university will be felt for years to come.
