The Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans has announced a new executive director after a search that began back in February when the previous director, Ghassan Korban, announced his departure.
Randy Hayman has been appointed as the new CEO of the Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans, effective from July 1, 2023, following the retirement of the current CEO, Ghassan Korban, on June 30, 2023. Hayman, who has been serving as the executive director of the Kansas City Area Transportation Authority since 2016, brings extensive experience in public sector management, having previously worked with the city of Baltimore and the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority. His appointment comes at a crucial time as the utility faces challenges with aging infrastructure and the need for significant investments. The board expressed confidence in Hayman's ability to lead the organization forward, citing his proven track record in managing large public utilities and his commitment to improving service delivery.
