Union Minister Jitendra Singh stated that the abrogation of Article 370 in August 2019 was not only a political move but also a significant socio-economic reform for Jammu and Kashmir. Speaking at the 'J&K Gyanodaya Express' event, he highlighted that the decision has led to the implementation of central laws and welfare schemes in the region, which were previously not applicable. Singh emphasized that this has resulted in socio-economic empowerment, particularly for women, Scheduled Castes, and Scheduled Tribes, by granting them rights and opportunities that were previously denied. He also mentioned the positive impact on education and youth, noting the launch of the 'J&K Gyanodaya Express' as an initiative to foster educational and cultural exchange.
