Sean Patrick Hagerty, 26, died after his small canoe capsized while he was fishing last week.
The body of a missing boater, identified as 62-year-old Richard M. Heffern from Upper Dublin, was found in the Schuylkill River near the Upper Merion Boathouse. Heffern had gone missing after his boat was discovered unmanned on the river on May 28. The Montgomery County Coroner's Office confirmed his identity, and an autopsy was scheduled to determine the cause and manner of death. The Upper Merion Township Police Department is investigating the incident, and authorities have expressed their condolences to Heffern's family and friends.
