November 8, 2016 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Tuesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Tuesday there were 5396 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3579 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2383 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with Abnormal Price Friction (bullish bias) in their stock prices. This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices rose. iShares MSCI Emerging Markets ETF (NYSE:EEM), General Electric Company (NYSE:GE), AT&T Inc (NYSE:T), iShares MSCI EAFE Index (NYSE:EFA), iShs CurHd EAFE Shs (NYSE:HEFA), Mindbody (NASDAQ:MB). To access Friction Factor, Naked Short Data and SqueezeTrigger Prices on all stocks please visit http://www.buyins.net .

Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  EEM $0.280 0.01% 23,298,705 26.80% 31,796,822 36.57% -8,498,117 Abnormal
  GE $0.110 0.00% 10,306,099 29.33% 11,755,700 33.46% -1,449,601 Abnormal
  T $0.180 0.01% 5,207,378 30.24% 6,524,652 37.89% -1,317,274 Abnormal
  EFA $0.160 0.00% 4,704,530 27.72% 6,561,784 38.67% -1,857,254 Abnormal
  HEFA $0.140 0.01% 2,610,699 30.29% 4,436,539 51.47% -1,825,840 Abnormal
  MB $0.400 0.02% 122,812 4.59% 2,483,947 92.87% -2,361,135 Abnormal
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above had more selling than buying on Tuesday and their stock prices rose. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows EEM with 8,498,117 greater shares of selling than buying (NetVol) and the stock price was up $0.28000. This means the Market Makers were trading the stock in a way inconsistent with normal supply and demand (Economics 101); more selling than buying should cause prices to drop.
