Reading Man Missing: Search Expanded After 3 Days
Locale: UNITED STATES

Reading, PA - March 30th, 2026 - Authorities are expanding the search for Kevin M. Miller, a 34-year-old man from Lebanon County, Pennsylvania, who has been missing since March 26th. Reading Police Department (RPD) issued a public appeal earlier today, believing Miller may still be within the Reading city limits. The case has quickly garnered local attention, with concerns mounting for Miller's safety and well-being.
Miller was last seen three days ago and has not had any contact with family or friends since, a pattern described as highly unusual by those who know him. While the initial missing person report originated from Lebanon County, investigators quickly focused their efforts on Reading following preliminary investigations and leads. The RPD is now leading the search, coordinating with Lebanon County authorities and utilizing local resources.
"We are treating this as a critical missing person case," stated Sergeant Emily Carter, spokesperson for the Reading Police Department, during a press briefing this afternoon. "Mr. Miller's lack of communication with loved ones, combined with the time elapsed since he was last seen, raises significant concerns. We are asking anyone who may have seen him, or who has any information regarding his whereabouts, to contact us immediately."
Miller is described as a white male, approximately 6'1" tall and weighing around 200 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes. When last seen, he was reportedly wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants, and gray sneakers. Police have circulated a photograph of Miller to local media outlets and are actively distributing flyers throughout Reading, particularly in areas near known transportation hubs and community centers.
The reasons for Miller's disappearance remain unclear. Authorities have not yet ruled out any possibilities, including voluntary absence, medical emergency, or foul play. Investigators are meticulously reviewing security footage from businesses and public spaces in Reading, hoping to identify any potential sightings of Miller. They are also conducting interviews with Miller's family, friends, and colleagues to gain a better understanding of his recent activities and any possible stressors he may have been experiencing.
This case echoes a growing national trend of missing person reports, and highlights the challenges faced by law enforcement in these situations. According to the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs - [ https://www.namus.gov/ ]), there are currently tens of thousands of unresolved missing person cases in the United States. Often, these cases are hampered by limited resources, lack of public cooperation, and the difficulty of tracking individuals in a mobile society.
Local community groups have also mobilized to assist in the search. Volunteers are organizing search parties to canvas neighborhoods, distribute flyers, and post information on social media. A dedicated Facebook group, "Find Kevin Miller," has already attracted hundreds of members, sharing information and coordinating search efforts. The outpouring of support from the community has been a source of encouragement for Miller's family, who are desperately hoping for his safe return.
The Reading Police Department is urging anyone with information, no matter how small or insignificant it may seem, to come forward. They can be reached at 610-656-4444. Tipsters can also remain anonymous by utilizing the RPD's tip line or by contacting the Berks County Crimestoppers at 800-649-6040.
As the search enters its fourth day, the pressure is mounting to locate Kevin Miller. Law enforcement officials remain optimistic that with the continued cooperation of the public, they will be able to bring him home safely.
