Jakob Ingebrigtsen, the Norwegian middle-distance runner, has set his sights on achieving a rare double by winning both the 1500 meters and the 5000 meters at the 2025 World Championships in Tokyo. Following his success at the European Indoor Championships in Istanbul, where he won the 3,000 meters, Ingebrigtsen expressed his ambition to emulate the feat accomplished by Kenyan runner Bernard Lagat in 2007. Despite his focus on the 1500m, where he has already established himself as a dominant force, Ingebrigtsen is also preparing to compete in the 5000m, a distance he has less experience in at the world level. His training and competitive strategy are geared towards excelling in both events, showcasing his versatility and ambition in track and field.
