OPSENS WINS ORDER TO INSTRUMENT HIGH-TEMPERATURE WELLS FOR SAGD PRODUCER
QUEBEC CITY, June 7, 2011 /CNW Telbec/ - Opsens Inc. ("Opsens") (TSXV: OPS) is pleased to announce receipt of an order to instrument one high-temperature Steam Assisted Gravity Drainage ("SAGD") well and two high-temperature observation wells.
In the SAGD well, Opsens' OPP-W high-temperature optical pressure and temperature sensor will be combined to a high-temperature Distributed Temperature Sensing System ("DTS") to be encased in coil tubing for deployment to the toe of the horizontal well.
In the two observation wells, a combination of Opsens' high-temperature optical temperature sensor, the OTP-W, and a high-temperature DTS will be deployed. Opsens' wholly-owned Edmonton-based operating unit, Opsens Solutions Inc. ("Opsens Solutions"), will perform the installations on the SAGD well and the observation wells. These orders of combined OPP-W and DTS installations are becoming increasingly popular as they provide a complete profile to optimize and improve well management.

For multiple well operations, this can provide millions of dollars in savings by reducing water treatment costs, optimizing natural gas consumption as it pertains to steam generation and enhancing the run time of artificial lift systems.
