NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - January 9, 2009) - China Broadband, Inc. (OTCBB: [ CBBD ]), a provider of cable broadband services and publisher of digital and analog program guides in the Shandong Province of China, today announced that its electronic programming guide division Shandong Radio & Broadcasting Newspaper Group ("Shandong Group") has acquired regional magazines Music Review and Korean Drama. Both magazines' operations will be moved into Shandong Group's offices in Jinan City and will be distributed throughout the Shandong province along with Shandong Group's existing titles.

China Broadband completed its acquisition of the Shandong Group in July of 2008 and began its consolidation with the company in the third quarter of 2008. Shandong Group is a China-based publisher of digital and analog television program guides, newspapers and entertainment magazines. The Shandong Group holds the exclusive license to publish television program guides in the Shandong Province of China. The province enjoys the second largest population (about 92 million inhabitants) in China and the second largest economic region in China in terms of GDP.
